The Work Health and Safety Coordinator will be a valued member of the Safety & Wellbeing team ensure that Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) and the Management team meet their responsibilities under the work health and safety legislation. You will work with Managers across AWH to deliver practical solutions that help minimise risk, ensure compliance, and create and manage a safe working environment for all AWH employees as well engage the health service in worker health promotion activities. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety and/or demonstrated working experience in the same or similar role.
- An extensive breadth of experience and understanding of multiple workplace hazards and the detailed principles of their identification and analysis,
- Detailed understanding of all principles of work health and safety risk management and application thereof in a complex diverse setting.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex WH&S issues and risks and provide proposed solutions through the use of effective Risk Assessment processes.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills in a wide range of diverse situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Senior Managers within the Health Service and external agencies.
