This Transition to Practice Educator role is a valued member of the Clinical Education team. The primary role is to provide support and facilitate clinical learning for undergraduate and early career nurses. We are actively seeking candidates with a passion for education and well-developed communication skills. A comprehensive orientation process will be provided as well as strong team environment that will support your development in this space. If you believe you hold the foundational knowledge and skills to work in the role, please provide a cover letter, resume, and a document that addresses the key selection criteria (KSC) below:
- KSC 1 Current registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse with post registration clinical qualifications or demonstrated extensive experience in relevant clinical areas.
- KSC2 Tertiary education qualifications or demonstrated commitment to work towards same (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment mandatory).
- KSC3 Demonstrated recent and relevant experience in the clinical supervision of students and/or early graduate nurses.
- KSC4 Demonstrated effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- KSC5 Demonstrated understanding of contemporary adult learning principles and ability to develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education and training programs.
- KSC6 Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice including promotion and utilisation of research.
- KSC7 Demonstrated ability to network and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- KSC8 Demonstrated proficiency in information and communication technologies.
