About the role
The Senior YJMHC will be a valued member of the Infant Child Youth Mental Health Wellbeing Service to undertake assessment and targeted care to young people in the Youth Justice System, in addition to the provision of primary and secondary mental health consultation and tertiary mental health educational activities to Youth Justice. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience Allied Health Grade 2 – P2 – RPN3 across all disciplines.
- Experience working as part of an MDT as well as working autonomously.
- For psychologist to hold supervision endorsement (or eligibility) with the PBA for registrar Supervision (primary and secondary).
- Experience working in a Child and Youth Mental Health setting and/or extensive experience in a relevant area of practice.
- Experience and understanding of the Youth Justice system and treatment of young people.
- Experience in working with young people offending behaviours is desirable.
