Registered Nurse - Parents and Babies Service
The Registered Nurse will be a valued member of the Parents and Babies Service and will be responsible for providing a range of services to support parents and babies in the transition to parenthood. It is expected that clinical care delivered by the RN will include support for families experiencing a range of early parenting challenges including comprehensive assessment, complex care and management planning, working in partnership with families to address their individual needs and link to external services for long term support as required.
The successful applicant will be required to establish and provide contemporary early parenting services and improve service responses to better meet the needs of children and their families. Individual consultation and support, and group education programs will be part of the range of services that the successful applicant will provide. The promotion of the parent infant attachment model of care and evidence based practice in providing care will be integral to this role. Working with relevant external stakeholders and ensuring effective communciation is essential.
Applicants must have relevant qualifications and current experience within the Nursing or Midwifery domain with post graduate qualifications and experience in Early Parenting Care Maternal and Child Health.
