The Project Communications Officer will be a valued member of the Communications team to support communications, stakeholder engagement, and media relations for major infrastructure and capital redevelopment projects across the health service. The role is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of communication strategies that ensure stakeholders, including staff, community members, and government agencies, remain informed and engaged throughout the redevelopment. 

 

We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field or extensive equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, or public relations, preferably within a healthcare or infrastructure setting.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging content.
  • Understanding of media relations and crisis communication strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience using digital communication tools, including social media, website content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor).
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to adapt to new digital tools.
