Commencing in February 2025 | Fixed Term for 12 months | 32hrs per week (0.8FTE)

AWH’s Maternity Unit is the largest regional health service in Victoria outside Geelong. There are 1650 to 1700 births annually and we are a Level 4 Special Care Nursery that provides care to more than 400 babies per year.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Double Degree Registered Nurse / Registered Midwives who have a keen desire to further their career within the AWH Maternity Unit.

With rotations available across Antenatal/Postnatal Ward, Birth Suite, Women's Surgical Unit and Special Care Nursery you will have access to a diverse range of educational opportunities and professional development support as you build your on not just practical experience but your theoretical knowledge through attendance at study days and hospital education sessions.

 

We are seeking applicants who fulfill the following criteria 

  • Registered Nurse and Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrates a person and family centred approach to decision making and care planning activities
  • Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and the ability to practice within a quality and risk management framework
