Albury Wodonga Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will support people with disability to access timely, inclusive and person-centred healthcare services while helping drive improvements in accessibility and inclusion across the health service.

Working collaboratively with patients, families, carers, clinicians and community partners, you will assist individuals experiencing barriers to healthcare access and facilitate reasonable adjustments to ensure equitable health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support people with disability to navigate healthcare services and access appropriate care.
• Coordinate reasonable adjustments and supports to improve healthcare experiences.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community services and carers to achieve positive outcomes.
• Provide disability-specific advice, advocacy and education to patients and staff.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives that promote accessibility, inclusion and disability-informed healthcare delivery.

About You

You will have:

• Appropriate qualification in an Allied Health disciplie and registration with the Australian Health Practitioners registration Agency as appropriate (depending on discipline).
• Experience working with people with disability in health, community, allied health or related settings.
• Strong communication, advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
• A commitment to inclusive, person-centred care and improving health outcomes for people with disability.
