The Nutrition and Dietetics department is seeking a Level 3 Dietitan to work 0.63 FTE (3 days a week). The role will involve providing Dietetic care across admitted services at Albury Wodonga Health, including the wards at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre, depending on departmental need.

Expectations of the role include:

  • To contribute  advanced skills and leadership base relevant to AWH Dietetics Department.
  • To support development of the Dietetics service through quality improvement initiatives, professional supervision, mentoring and  skill base development in Dietetics.
  • Take a leadership role in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on activities and services within the Dietetics Department.
  • To exercise independent professional judgement when required in solving problems and managing cases where principles, procedures, techniques and methods require expansion, adaptation or modification.
  • To have extensive specialist knowledge or a high level of broad generalist knowledge, and demonstrate advanced reasoning skills.  Primary caseloads may  include Cancer Care Services, General surgical, Emergency, High Dependency, Paediatrics and Critical Care. A consultative service is provided to the Special Care Nursery (SCN).
  • The position may be required to participate in a shared public holiday roster for all state and national public holidays and provide a weekend Dietetic service as per departmental roster.
