The Community based Speech Pathologists will be valued members of the Community Teams based out of Wodonga. The position in the Community Health team is working with a paediatric population, and the position in the Rural Allied Health and Transition Care program is working with clients throughout the lifespan.  We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for these exceptional opportunities:

  1. Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  2. Current competency in provision of clinical assessment and intervention for feeding, swallowing, communication, language, and speech skills for clients eligible to access RAHT, TCP and/or CH services. 
  3. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives for community health services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage high demand both in accordance with DHHS (Vic) priorities and policy, as well as evidenced based practice.


Employment Type: There are 2 positions available in the community, with teams based in our Wodonga campus. 

  • Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT)  / Transition Care Program (TCP) - This is a permanent part time position (0.5FTE RAHT and 0.1FTE TCP = 0.6FTE in total) 3 days per week.
  • Community Health Paediatrics - This is a fixed term part-time opportunity (0.4FTE) 2 days per week until the end of December 2025.

There is opportunity to combine the positions for a suitable candidate.
