We are seeking a talented and dynamic Communications and Engagement Officer to join our high-performing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the development and delivery of communication strategies and activities that drive health service engagement, enhance organisational reputation, and promote key public health initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with our community, ensuring our messaging is clear, impactful, and supports our broader health goals. 

We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, media, journalism, engagement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience in a communications or media role, preferably within the healthcare or not-for-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated well-developed verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written form to internal and external bodies.  
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, sponsors, media, community groups, and volunteers.
  • Proficiency in using content creation tools, (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, Hootsuite, or similar) is highly desirable.
