Location: Albury Wodonga Health – Health Independence Programs, Wodonga Campus

Albury Wodonga Health is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our Ambulatory Rehabilitation team within the Health Independence Programs.

As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, you’ll work alongside AHAs, dietitians, exercise physiologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and speech pathologists to deliver goal-directed, time-limited rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients through individualised rehabilitation programs tailored to their goals.
  • Deliver therapy across various settings: in-centre, in clients’ homes, in the community, and via phone/telehealth.
  • Facilitate group therapy programs — confidence and enthusiasm in group work is highly valued.
  • Assist in the supervision and support of AHA students.
  • Maintain excellent organisational and time management practices to ensure effective service delivery.

Employment Type: This is a part time ongoing opportunity.

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or currently completing certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, independently and unsupervised.
  • Demonstrated ability to support patients / clients in their acquisition of new skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to program development and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding and knowledge of health and safety issues in the workplace.
  • Sound basic computer skills and a willingness to develop skills in the use of a range of technology systems as / if relevant to the position.
