The Community Mental Health Clinician will be a valued member of the Continuing Care Team to undertake assertive recovery focussed care in the community, for a diverse client group. We are actively seeking applicants who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Social Worker – membership, or meets the eligibility requirements for membership, with the Australian Association of Social Work.
  • Post graduate qualifications in mental health or to have completed a specialist undergraduate psychiatric program and/or related field, or be working towards completion of qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022 and Psychiatric Service Frameworks Procedures and Guidelines; and other relevant legislation and its application to clinical practice.

Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies. The diversity of our service provides a range of experiences for our team and will assist you in expanding and embedding your clinical practice skills.
