Applications are invited from experienced Speech Pathologist's to join the admitted Speech Pathology team to lead and deliver coordinated, patient centred and evidenced base care for our admitted patients within a multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant must demonstrate ability to independently deliver high quality generalist acute clinical practice including competency in clinical practise area/s (as per SPA) such as videofluoroscopy, fibreoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing, tracheostomy and/or laryngectomy. Experience in oncology would be advantageous. This role will include working weekend shift/s in a set shift capacity. Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligibility for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia is essential. • Demonstrated experience and competency to provide evidenced based advanced clinical practices in the assessment, diagnosis and management of complex communication, swallowing and oral motor disorders relevant to the clinical population of AWH.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively across a variety of teams in the advocacy of patient centred care and resolution of conflict.
• Demonstrated commitment to and leadership of quality and safety improvement activities
• Demonstrated ability to manage personal workload
• Demonstrated commitment to own professional development
