About the Role

As a Contracted Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-informed, person and family-centred care across a variety of clinical settings. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and consumers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional standards and evidence-based practice.
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and responding appropriately to clinical changes.
• Coordinating and managing the care of individual patients or groups of patients.
• Collaborating with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to achieve optimal care outcomes.
• Supporting patient education, discharge planning and health literacy initiatives.
• Providing supervision and direction to delegated staff including Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and participating in quality improvement activities.
• Contributing to a positive, respectful and professional workplace culture. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated commitment to person and family-centred care.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Understanding of quality, risk management and clinical governance principles.
• Experience using electronic clinical information systems.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
