The Project Communications Officer will be a valued member of the Communications team, supporting the delivery of clear, high-quality communications and stakeholder engagement for major AWH initiatives, including the Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital Project. The role works closely with project teams, clinicians, and external stakeholders to support the planning and delivery of communications, engagement activities, and media materials. The position plays an important hands-on role in ensuring staff, community, and partners are well informed and engaged throughout key project milestones. Working across internal and external communications, the role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible content in a fast-moving and highly visible environment. The successful candidate will be an organised and proactive communications professional with strong stakeholder skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality content and support.
 
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting communications, stakeholder engagement or public relations activities, ideally within healthcare, infrastructure or government environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging content for different audiences. 
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and support delivery across multiple communication channels
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 

Employment Type: This is a part time (0.8 FTE) opportunity.
