About the role

The Wellbeing and Health Inreach Nurse program (WHIN) is responsible for facilitating school based individual identification of health, wellbeing, and social needs.  This includes coordination of appropriate early intervention, assessments & referral to services for school aged children & young people attending designated primary & secondary schools.  The WHIN program is a collaborative initiative between Health and the NSW Department of Education.  It was established to address health and social concerns amongst vulnerable students and their families by providing direct access to healthcare service within schools.


The Wellbeing and Health Inreach Nurse CNS2 is a Registered Nurse who works in identified local schools & applies their specialist clinical nursing knowledge, experience & skill in providing complex health care coordination for school aged children, young people & their families in these schools.


Employment Type: This is a fixed term (12 month) full-time opportunity, with the capacity to job share for suitable applicants.
