The Violence & Abuse Navigator will be a valued member of the Violence abuse and neglect team be responsible for effective co-ordination of services and referral pathways for victim survivors of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and Sexual Assault (SA) presenting to Albury Wodonga Health. This role will assist and support AWH staff in their identification and response to DFV & SA by building capacity, providing education and being available for secondary consultation. This position will be based in the community directorate but links with all areas of the organisation, particularly the key target areas of Emergency Department, Child & Family nursing and maternity, whilst also working in conjunction with Mental Health & Alcohol and Other Drug Service DFV initiatives and will undertake. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
1. A Degree in a social science or health related discipline (eg: Social Work, psychology, occupational therapy) with a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience within counselling or social emotional interventions, and the ability to
hold registration with your relevant disciplines professional body.
2. Knowledge and understanding of sensitive and complex issues affecting women’s health policy and service delivery in the Victorian and NSW contexts.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the family violence policy and service delivery environment in both Victoria and NSW.
