About the Role

As an integral member of the Surgical and Perioperative team, the Unaccredited General Surgery Registrar will be able to delivers high-quality, comprehensive care to surgical patients across the preoperative, intra, and postoperative spectrum under Consultant supervision. Operating within a highly collaborative environment, the role requires active participation in elective and emergency theatre, outpatient clinics and ASU on-call rosters under close liaison with consultants to safely expand clinical autonomy.

The Unaccredited General Surgical Registrar will have subspecialty exposure to Vascular Surgery, Plastics Surgery, Paediatric Surgery and Urology.

 

 We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

  • Registered or eligible for General registration as a Medical Practitioner by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • At least two years post graduate experience with recent experience in general surgery.
  • Appropriate procedural skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • A good understanding of the unique demands of rural / regional health will be highly regarded.
  • Cover other Subspecialities
