Applications are invited from suitably experienced Registered Sexual Health Nurses to join the dynamic team at Albury Community Health Sexual Health Service. The Sexual Health Nurse is repsonsible for the provision of direct clinical services, community education, health promotion and support services for groups or individuals in the Albury and surrounding community at particular risk of Sexually Tranmitted Infections (STI)/HIV infection and other blood Borne viruses (BBV). This includes provision of patient centred and evidence based nursing care. The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team using contemporary practice.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity:
- Registered Nurse with (AHPRA) together with demonstrated ability to meet the National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurs and Australasian Sexual Health and HIV Nurses Association (ASHHNA) competency Statndards domains
- Post graduate qualification in the field of Sexual Health & Reproductive Health Specialty and or equivalent work experience with the demonstrated competencies in Sexual Health Nursing or a cobination of both studey and work experience.
- Demostrated knowledge and understanding of Sexual Health Nursing, its application in caring for clients and an understanding of harm minimisation principles.
- Demostrated knowledge of current nursing care of people living with HIV (PLWHIV) within a community setting.
- Demostrated committment to professional development, evidenced based practice and understanding of recent contemporary changes in Sexual and Reproductive health.
- Achivement of NSW Authorisation as a Nurse Immuniser.
