The Safewayz Coordinator will be a valued member of the Violene Abuse and Neglect team at Albury Community Health. The SafeWayz program has been specifically designed to support children under the age of 10 years who have displayed problematic or harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB. The role aims provide advice, education and support to children under the age of 10, their families and support systems, as well as promoting safe, nurturing, and respectful relationships, and appropriate and healthy sexual development. This role will lead and participate in prevention work to educate children, family, schools, carers, community, and professionals about PHSBs, including clear guidance on what sexual behaviours are developmentally appropriate, problematic and harmful.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
- Bachelor of Social Work, Degree in Psychology (with full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia), or Bachelor degree in other relevant Allied Health disciplines with additional experience and expertise in counselling & therapeutic skills.
- Advanced skills and Post Graduate experience within a relevant field of practice.
- Experience in working with behaviour modification models of practice from a systems perspective.
- Advanced skills in building and sustaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners. Experience in creating connection, engagement and collaboration with aboriginal community will be regarded highly.
Employment Type: This is a part time- fixed term opportunity.
