Join the dynamic Infrastructure Services Delivery (ISD) Department as a Project Support Officer, where your administrative expertise will help deliver safe, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose facilities that enable contemporary and therapeutic care.

 

This is a minimum 6-month maternity leave cover position, where you’ll provide essential support to the Director of Infrastructure Services Delivery (DISD) and Project Managers (PMs), helping drive key funded capital projects that enhance health services across our region.

 


About the Role

As a Project Support Officer (PSO), your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality administrative and coordination support across all phases of capital infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing project documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
  • Providing financial support, including invoice processing, budget tracking, and monthly reconciliations.
  • Providing procurement support, including identification and management of items such as equipment and furniture in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Supporting project governance, including maintaining frameworks, templates, and records.
  • Handling competing priorities with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset.

 

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in administrative support, with experience in project coordination (desirable).
  • Demonstrates exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Is confident in document control, meeting coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Is highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in using project management or finance systems (desirable).
  • Is adaptable, resourceful, and committed to supporting the delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects.
