The Medical Director of Medicine and Perioperative Services will be a valued leader within AWH. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of operational management: including structures, staffing, and managing the activity and budget of the Division where appropriate. They will work collaboratively with other Divisions to plan, develop and implement coordinated clinical services and will lead continual improvement in safety & quality of clinical services within the Division. The Medical Director will lead the establishment and maintenance of an effective and responsive medical workforce within the Division; and will be responsible to ensure the establishment and maintenance of appropriate training and teaching programs for vocational trainees, pre-vocational trainees and students.
