About the role

The position of the Emergency Medicine Registrar provides direct clinical services in AWH’s Emergency Departments (ED) (both Albury and Wodonga campuses), working as a team member of a major regional trauma centre.

The Emergency Medicine Registrar also supervises junior medical staff within the Department.
The position provides clinical management and consultation services to ED patients either under direct supervision or supported over the telephone by an Emergency Medicine Specialist and engages in quality assurance activities within the ED.

The Emergency Medicine Registrar assists and promotes these strategies by ensuring duties are performed within legislative / policy / guideline compliance including but not restricted to the AWH policies and procedures and relevant legislation pertaining to the delivery of health care.

We also offer accredited training position requiring registration with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) as an ACEM Trainee.

 

Mandatory requirements

1.Currently registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA.

2.Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent degree.

3.Registration with Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) as an ACEM Trainee.

4.Significant experience in an Australian Emergency Department or equivalent with Paediatric and adult clinical experience.
