Shape the future of regional healthcare - Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is seeking a visionary Director of Emergency & Critical Care to join us in a fixed-term capacity to cover Long Service Leave. This is a unique opportunity to lead our high-quality acute services during a transformative period of growth, providing strategic and operational leadership for our Emergency and Critical Care divisions while driving excellence across two states.

Operational Excellence: Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will manage service delivery, clinical safety, quality, and financial performance while ensuring integrated workforce planning.

Culture & Engagement: Champion a strong, inclusive culture to improve staff engagement and retention, positioning AWH as an "Employer of Choice" through contemporary models of care. 

We are actively seeking applicants who meet the following criteria: 

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 
  • Extensive clinical practice experience and post graduate qualification in a relevant area of specialty. 
  • Post graduate qualification at a Masters level (or working towards) in an area such as healthcare leadership, business administration, health policy or associated field. 
  • Demonstrated experience and operational skills required to manage a team of multidisciplinary health professionals and administrative staff.
