The Clinical Director Anaesthetics will be a valued member of the Sugical & Perioperative Division to undertake clinical leadership in the provision of a coordinated, high quality Anaesthetic services, working to develop and raise the profile of services for Albury Wodonga Health (AWH).The Clinical Director of Anaesthetics is responsible for the development of the AWH Anaesthetics Services Plan, which sets to path towards a new contemporary department prepared to meet the needs of the community over the next 10 years and in preparation for the Hospital Redevelopment. The Clinical Director is responsible to the Medical Director of Perioperative Services and the Chief Operating Officer for monitoring and managing the activity of their Department.
The Clinical Director will work collaboratively with other departments to plan, develop and implement coordinated clinical services, service plans and associated workforce planning which align to AWHs strategic priorities, under the leadership of their Divisional Medical Director.
We are seeking applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Fellowship of the Australasian College or other relevant fellowship
- Demonstrated management and operational skills required to manage a team of multidisciplinary health professionals and administrative staff.
- Demonstrated ability to implement complex strategies to build buy-in and support from key internal and external clients or stakeholders. Uses a variety of different influencing approaches tailored to different clients.
