The Child and Family Health Clinical Coordinator will be and expert in the field of Child and Family Health nursing as well as lead the Child and Family Health Service team.  This role, in conjunction with the Albury Community Health Nurse Manager will undertake to:

  • Provide Clinical oversight and care coordination of clients accessing the Child and Family Health Service and mentorship to the Child and Family Health Nursing Team
  • Provide Leadership and management of the service which includes Clinical Governance, Staff skills and capability, Risk Management and improving performance, financial stewardship and data collection and reporting that reflects an efficient and effective service.

 

This role will also collaborate with the multidisciplinary health team and key community partners to help families with children 0-5 years old to achieve optimal health and development.  The Child and Family Health Clinical Coordinator uses a Family Partnership Model to work with families, including families with complex needs.  They may be required to provide clinical supervision and support to colleagues and actively contribute to clinical practice improvement within the team, in consultation with the CNS 1.  This role encompasses the Child and Family Health Nurse role and is responsible for the expert provision of Child and Family Health Services which address the priority needs of individuals, families and the community.

 

We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following mandatory requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA
  • Successful completion of post-graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health and minimum of 3 years full time equivalent recent experience working in Child and Family Health Nursing
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of Primary/Community Health Care with proven ability to develop and meet operational objectives as well as ability to work within a multidisciplinary team structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive service orientated culture that encourages sound patient care and stewardship, focusing on innovation and productivity improvements
  • Knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues including proven ability to exercise sound judgement in ethical, clinical and management issues.


Employment Type: This is a permanent part time opportunity of 24hrs per week.
