About the Role

Closing Date: 22/05/2026

We are about to embark on a significant new phase for the Pharmacy team at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) with major service growth and redesign, alongside the announcement that AWH will commence the delivery of public Cancer Care Pharmacy services at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre (AWRCC) from 28 August 2026.

  • 3 x Associate Deputy Directors of Pharmacy
  • 5 x Team Leader Pharmacists
  • 1 x Clinical Informatics Pharmacist

  • 3 x Head Pharmacy Technician roles

This follows on from the redesign and significant growth of the intern pharmacist program, that now operates with 3 pharmacist interns, and the development of an AdPha accredited Residency Program that is planned to commence before the end of 2026. This reflects the strong commitment at AWH to education, career progression and professional development opportunities for our team. This growth reflects a transformative step in strengthening service capacity, advanced pharmacy practice capability, governance, and succession planning across all our pharmacy services.

The commencement of public Cancer Care Pharmacy services represents a major milestone for the Pharmacy team. It is a unique opportunity to fully integrate public Cancer Care Pharmacy services, further strengthen clinical governance, and advanced clinical pharmacy practice. This will embed sustainable, high‑quality models of care aligned with AWH values and the needs of the community. The Cancer Care Pharmacy operates an aseptic compounding suite, and is situated within the AWRCC, a major regional hub with 28 chair day infusion unit, and a 20-bed inpatient unit, outpatient clinics and a clinical trials service. The Cancer Care service is supported by the specialised clinical information system, CHARM.

We seek an experienced, values‑driven leader with a strong commitment to patient‑centred care and excellence in the delivery of high‑quality, safe and innovative public Cancer Care pharmacy services at AWH.
