Albury Wodonga Health has an opportunity available for two consultant anaesthetist's to join our well-established and growing department.  You will join a cohesive team of more than 20 FANZCAs who provide excellent anaesthetic care to all patients of our cross-border health service, from newborns to centenarians.  We have 10 theatres spread across two campuses, and provide services for general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, vascular, ophthalmology, ENT, obstetrics, gynaecology and paediatric surgery along with radiology, cardiology and respiratory procedures.  There is an Intensive Care Unit and two busy Emergency Departments.  We have a dynamic junior medical workforce, including eight accredited ANZCA registrars from training schemes across Victoria, NSW and the ACT.  The Department of Anaesthesia has strong links to the University of New South Wales Rural Clinical School and actively contributes to the training of our future medical workforce.

Whether your interests lie in perioperative medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, regional anaesthesia, pain medicine, education and training or another aspect of anaesthetic practise there is ample opportunity for you to further your expertise.  Your skills will be highly valued and contribute to the development of anaesthetic services in our regional centre. We highly encourage new fellows and provisional fellows within 12 months of attaining FANZCA are strongly encouraged to apply

1. Fellowship of ANZCA

2. Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Specialist.

3. Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care

4. Demonstrated commitment to teaching.

5. Demonstrated understanding of Clinical Governance.
