Mental Health Administrative Support Officer (Casual) - Join Our Mental Health Services Team and Make a Difference

 

Are you an organised, compassionate, and adaptable administrator looking for a rewarding role in healthcare? We are seeking enthusiastic Mental Health Administrative Support Officers to join our casual workforce and provide vital support across a range of Mental Health services throughout Albury, Wodonga and Wangaratta.

 

In this dynamic role, you will be part of dedicated multidisciplinary teams supporting consumers, families, and clinicians across a variety of community and specialist mental health programs, including:

  • Albury Community Care Team (CCT)
  • Wodonga Community Care Team (CCT)
  • Wangaratta Community Care Team (CCT)
  • Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Services (Wodonga and Wangaratta)
  • Nolan House, Albury
  • Kerferd, Wangaratta


About the Role

As a Mental Health Administrative Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services while providing a welcoming and professional experience for consumers, families, clinicians, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality administrative support to Program Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Delivering reception, office management, service monitoring, and administrative support functions.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for consumers, including those presenting in crisis or experiencing acute mental health concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate data entry across multiple databases and information systems.
  • Managing and tracking clinical records and documentation.
  • Assisting with rostering, billing, financial monitoring, and reporting activities where required.
  • Supporting the orientation and training of new administrative team members.
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and consumer-focused environment.

About Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is established in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga, between Sydney and Melbourne. Our dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff supports a population of 250,000 people throughout North-East Victoria and Southern NSW.  Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses, and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, community, mental health, allied health and sub-acute services.

 

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.

 

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies. The diversity of our service provides a range of experiences for our team and will assist you in expanding and embedding your clinical practice skills.
